Uwais has always been an avid aerospace enthusiast and can attribute his influence to his father’s employment service at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport and by having opportunities to travel to destinations such as the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Also, visiting other airports and hangers around the world while flying on awesome airplanes and collecting toy planes as a kid only added to the thrill of flying.

Stimulus for flying and curiosity for flying aircrafts no doubt also comes from the history of air/space travel, mass media and video games such as Flight Simulator and good ol’ UFO stories.

Further inspiration to get into the world of drones comes from the world of movies and entertainment with their use of specialized equipment to film and capture images using high-end drones with premium cameras attached to it or built-in.

The use of drones was mostly relegated to military use until it became commercially available and viable and so the value to utilize this technology to help people became abundantly clear. Being in the Age of social media & a world of mobile devices, Uwais loves taking photographs and curating videos. Uwais particularly loves taking aerial visuals and knows the potential for drones by offering clients top quality views for variety of applications.

Drones deliver an ability to capture sights that would often require helicopters; they cost less and reach places humans and larger aircraft cannot.

As a graduate of Humber College Journalism – Print & Broadcast Program and with a passion for photography, filmmaking & drones, Uwais is looking to the future with the goal of having a fleet of drones to do more than just capture images.

With a background in broadcast media working as camera operator for sporting events at RogersTV or as production assistant for CBC’s Dragon’s Den, Uwais has invested in himself and has developed skills on his own in initiating, planning, and implementing projects.

Many people are aware that drones deliver supplies in hard-to-reach places, they can scan and survey and collect data, they serve various industry needs one of which was beyond successful on Mars and they will only proliferate as humanity reaches out to the stars.

In the meantime, Uwais will continue creating visual art from the ground and above and hopes to take the tools skills learned on here on Earth to another planet. That is the AIM.

So, these factors pushed Uwais to become the Founder and Creative Director of Aerial Imaging Media Canada (AIMCAN) & C-Bridge Creations. AIMCAN is dedicated to aerial imaging and data collection using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) while C~B~C is the ancillary to it by offer all ranges of media including photography, video recording and editing services. AIMCAN was established in 2020 during the pandemic with official operations beginning in 2023.

With the ever-expanding world of drones, Uwais’s progressive futurist beliefs for new and useful technology took his creative eye to the sky to offer those unique views.
